Mich nervte es, dass ich beim Einschalten des Rechners zweimal anwesend sein muss: Einmal, um die Passphrase für cryptsetup einzugeben, dann, um mich einzuloggen. Beides zeitversetzt.

So entstand gcryptmount. Das Tool wird nach dem Login im graphischen Loginmanager gestartet und fragt ggf. nach der Passphrase für eine LUKS Partition, um diese freizuschalten.

gcryptmount is a tool which moves the cryptsetup (luks) from the console to your favorite login manager (kdm, gdm, xdm). After a sucessfull login it will pop up a dialog asking you for your LUKS-passphrase in order to unlock /home.
