Inzwischen hat sich einiges getan: qiv wird wieder entwickelt und pqiv ist seinem Ursprung entwachsen und ist in eine eigene Richtung gegangen.

pqiv 1.0 ist ein GTK 2.x basierter Bildbetrachter, pqiv 2.0 ist zusätzlich mit GTK 3.x kompatibel und verwendet intern Cairo. Die Idee ist immer noch die von qiv, allerdings gibt es zusätzliche Features wie:

Things have changed sinc then: qiv is being developed again and pqiv outgrew its its antecessor.

    pqiv 1.0 is a GTK 2.x based image viewer, pqiv 2.0 is also compatible with GTK 3.x and uses Cairo for drawing internally. The idea is still the one from qiv, but there are additional features, like:
